The Tongue

Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
The Tongue can be your worst enemy! Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions inyour life. What you speak about, you can bring about. If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job. If you keep saying youcan't stand your body, your body can become sick. If you keep saying youcan't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating. If you keep saying you’re broke, guess what? You'll always be broke. If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life to hurt and betray you. If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed. If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, you’re very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs. If you keep talking about a divorce or break up in a relationship, then you might end up with it. Turnyour thoughts and conversations around to be more POSITIVE and power packed with faith, hope, love and action. Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve. Watch your Thoughts - they become words.Watch your words - they become actions. Watch your actions - they become habits. Watch your Habits - they become character. Watch your Character -for it becomes your Destiny. The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settle for.In the search for me, I discovered truth. In the search for truth, I discovered love. In the search for love, I discovered GOD and in God, Ihave found everything.~ Be Blessed ~ Watch how your circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the way you speak.

Christmas Shopping at Sears

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AT SEARS
I know I needed this reminder since Sears isn't always my first choice. Amazing when you think of how long the war has lasted and they haven't withdrawn from their commitment. Could we each buy at least one thing at Sears this year? How does Sears treat its employees who are called up for military duty? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up. Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years. I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution. I suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement it well deserves. Pass it on. Decided to check this before I sent it forward. So I sent the following e-mail to the Sears Customer Service Department: I received this e-mail and I would like to know if it is true. If it is, the Internet may have just become one very good source of advertisement for your company. I know I would go out of my way to buy products from Sears instead of another store for a like item, even if it's cheaper at that store. This is their answer to my e-mail:Dear Customer:Thank you for contacting Sears. The information is factual. We appreciate your positive feedback.Sears regards service to our country as one of greatest sacrifices our young men and women can make. We are happy to do our part to lessen the burden they bear at this time. Bill ThornSears Customer Care webcenter@sears. com 1-800-349-4358 Please pass this on to all your friends. Sears needs to be recognized for this.

Interesting info on filling your gas tank;-)

A friend sent me this and in case you might be interested in whatever might help us at the pumps, I'm sharing it with you....
INTERESTING INFO ON FILLING YOUR GAS TANK... I've been in petroleum pipeline business for about 31 years, currently working for the Kinder-Morgan Pipeline here in San Jose, CA. We deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period from the pipe line; one day it's diesel, the next day it's jet fuel and gasoline. We have 34 storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.
Here are some tricks to help you get your money's worth:
1. Fill up your car or truck in the morning when the temperature is still cool. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. When it gets warmer gasoline expands, so if you're filling up in the afternoon or in the evening, what should be a gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and temperature of the fuel (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products) are significant. Every truckload that we load is temperature-compensated so that the indicated gallonage is actually the amount pumped. A one-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for businesses, but service stations don't have temperature compensation at their pumps.2. If a tanker truck is filling the station's tank at the time you want to buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is being stirred up when gas is being delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of their tank into your car's tank.3. Fill up when your gas tank is half-full (or half-empty), because the more gas you have in your tank the less air there is and gasoline evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. (Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating 'roof' membrane to act as a barrier between the gas and the atmosphere, thereby minimizing evaporation.)
4. If you look at the trigger you'll see that it has three delivery settings: slow, medium and high. When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to the high setting. You should be pumping at the slow setting, thereby minimizing vapors created while you are pumping. Hoses at the pump are corrugated; the corrugations act as a return path for vapor recovery from gas that already has been metered. If you are pumping at the high setting, the agitated gasoline contains more vapor, which is being sucked back into the underground tank, so you're getting less gas for your money. Hope this will help ease your 'pain at the pump'.

If I knew.......

If I knew it would be the last timeThat I'd see you fall asleep,I would tuck you in more tightlyand pray the Lord, your soul to keep.If I knew it would be the last timethat I see you walk out the door,I would give you a hug and kissand call you back for one more.If I knew it would be the last timeI'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,I would video tape each action and word,so I could play them back day after day.Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,And today may be the last chanceyou get to hold your loved one tight. So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear,Tell them how much you love themand that you'll always hold them dearTake time to say "I'm sorry,""Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay." And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you say an unkind word, think of someone who cannot speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife, think of someone who is crying out to GOD for a companion.Today before you complain about life, think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children, think of someone who desires children but are barren. Before you argue about your dirty house someone did not clean or sweep, think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks that same distance. And when you are tired and complain about your job, think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another, remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, put a smile on your face and thank GOD you are alive and still around.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and carry burdens but they hold happiness, love, and joy.
They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or wedding.
Their heart breaks when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong
when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run, or email you to show you
how much they care about you.
They bring joy, hope, and love. They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Happiness

Like a contagious thing. You see one person happy then you feel that you wanna be happy too. =) There are some things that can just ruin absolutley everything like making mistakes of your own or people && sometimes little things. But we gotta know that it all happens for a reason and we have to learn from it.There just doesn't need to be sadness forever in your life. I've realized that you just gotta forgive the things && people that need to be forgiven forget the things that need to be forgotten and let go of things you shouldn't hold on to. Its only taking time away from the life you only get to live once. Yeah no one lives a perfect life and we will be sad and angry && sometimes fall but we gotta learn to pick ourselves up and know that the light isn't too far down the road. There really is no need to waste our time by regretting things or being so bitter. Just find the people and things in your life to make you happy! =)

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, augh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to he moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, ive time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.....
